Goldren Creek opening in Dead of Darkness 2
The published opening is Pennsylvania in 1985: Jun Takehara finds an unnamed wounded girl in the Appalachians, treats her at a trailer, and then two policemen pull Jun and Felton toward Goldren Creek, where 28 characters are promised but not named.
The wounded girl's name is not published.
The sequence the stores actually print
- Pennsylvania, 1985. Jun Takehara lives in a trailer in the Appalachians.
- Felton, an older veteran and a friend of her recently deceased father, looks out for her.
- On a hunting trip she finds a wounded little girl who does not know who she is.
- Jun takes her to the trailer and treats the wounds.
- Two suspicious policemen arrive, and Jun and Felton are pulled toward Goldren Creek.
That sequence is the Steam about text, and the official site and GOG repeat it. It is the premise, not a walkthrough of rooms.

The 2025 game is a different app
The sequel's Steam page calls this the sequel to Dead of Darkness (2025). Steam app 2157210 is that earlier game, with a store result dated 23 January 2025. It is not a demo or a DLC of app 3947120. This page does not retell the first game's island plot.
Clues, as announced
The feature text says notes, examined objects, and rooms carry the mystery. That is a reason to read what you pick up. It is not a puzzle solution, because no puzzle has been published.
